Its been awhile.  Since the IKF  thing I have been pre-occupied with  post production and some video edit issues.   And like everyone, tryin to get by, tryin to come out on top.  I can see the forest for the trees….but those trees are mighty big!  There’s no getting around them.  Its hard when the wolf is at the door.  Yet, spring is close and it will be time to fly.  I have some shows this month around the region….JB’s in Sac and also in Oakland.  I’ll keep you posted.  Get at me!

Martin Luther King’s  Birthday was of course on Friday, Jan. 15th.  Celebrating today gives us a long weekend.  Long enough, I hope, to reflect what Dr. King’s message was and how he was able to bring it to the masses.  MLK reached across all lines and demograhics to teach about change to better his people and all oppressed people.  Non-violent demonstration was key to his actions.  This puts him in good company with Ghandi and Jesus.  Education was one of MLK’s main tenents as ignorance is NOT bliss!  And it was out of ignorance that his crusade was cut short.

Teach your children well;  follow Dr King’s way and be an example for those who will come after.  Believe and it will happen!

Happy Holidays to everyone.   As always my hope is for peace and my wish is that everybody at least have a peaceful and lovely holiday season. Yes, times are hard, but the spirit prevails. Keep a good thought for those less fortunate and if that means you then give yourself a break as tomorrow has brought hope to Billions all over the world.   If you allow, it will lift your spirit. Sing a song, put it out there….somebody’ll hear it!

Its already ‘that time of year’.  My sense of community and reflection over the past 10 months has made me realize all that I have to be thankful for.  Going for the one- a hit record – takes a lot of work from a whole lot of people.  I have been fortunate to have not only a lot of people, but, a whole lot of hard-working supportors who have been touched by my music and have helped take it to the next level.  It is no cliche when I say that my fans are number one.  I feed off of your energy and that inspires me to give back in the form of song.  My relationship with my fans is special.  I know who you are and you all are genuine folks who deserve the best from me.  I am sincerely grateful for everyone who is involved with my music.  From the roof to the floor , and back again, a Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, Saturday night’s gig at Marilyn’s was really special.  Thank you to all who helped me put on the show;  from Marilyn’s, Jeff, Tosh, V101, the Sac Bee, the Band, and my family; who all had a role in the show’s success. 

I can’t say enough about my fans.  Your support has always energized me and humbled me.  The turnout Saturday was fantastic!  Your enthusiam is inspiring and makes me want to do even better and even more the next time. 

Again, thanks to everyone for making Saturday a night to remember.

Oh my, its early this morning!  Got to get started attending to all the final details for tonight’s show at Marilyn’s.  Then I hope to have some time to mentally prepare for the show….to just focus on the music and the total performance.   I truly feel that we’re gonna rock the house tonight….that means me and the band…and YOU!   If you are on the fence, step off ond get to Marilyn’s.  Its gonna be a good one!!
