Well,  its Wednesday and gettin ready for Saturday’s show at Marilyn’s.  This show will be the Bomb with DJ Tosh spinnin and also a couple very nice singers will do a brief performance.  Stands to be an action packed evening!  I also wanted to let you know that I will be on V101.1′s morning show with Lee and Andrea.  That is happening Thursday at 8 AM.!  Yea, its early  but I’m doin what I have to do.

I also will be featured in this Friday’s Sacramento Bee.  That should be a real nice article.  Anyway, got to go!

Took a couple of hours off from running to do a photo shoot.  I like how the shots look; we’ll see how they turnout.  Meanwhile, its still a struggle; but an exciting one!  Looking forward to Marilyn’s next Saturday!

I must say that the turnout for my show at Bridges on the River was more than I expected.  For a holiday weekend you fans are the baddest!  I plan to be back there at least once a month and make it better and better!

Thanks to all who helped bring it together….Jim at Bridges and everyone in my camp, the band, and once again, all you good people who came out last night…..Thank You!

Its Friday and its Labor Day weekend.  The official end to the summer season.  Its seems like everyday is Labor Day, don’t it?  Yea, pretty much is, but then everyday is a weekend.   Yea, right, but its a cool thought.  Its all in the mind; that’s what they tell me.  Well, my summer’s not over and neither is yours!.  I’ll be playing at Bridges on the River for their Sunday Neo-Soul night.  Live Band and all.  Great music, great people, great surroundings…should be Great!   Gotta get ready for rehearsal cause we gonna be doin it!  See ya Sunday at 6PM.

Tonight I’ll be at “the Bomb’s” Eighty West launch.  Should be cool and it’ll be good to see all the other talent do a tune or two and meet some radio peeps.

A couple of shows coming up soon.  Sunday, Sept. 6th, I’ll be doin it at Bridges on the River.  What a place!  They have Neo Soul there on Sunday nights and I’ll be doing a full set with a live band.

I will be performing this Friday night for 103.5 the “Bomb’s” launch of thier ”Eighty West” radio show.  This official invite only show will give me a chance to sing for some more radio people.  Thats a good thing. 

“Eighty West” features only the top talent from all of Northern Cali.  It is a chance for exposure for deserving artists to be heard on a major radio station.  Can’t beat that! 

I love radio.  My recent momentum has been in large part due to local radio support.  Since winning the Home Grown Soul Show, I have been getting spins on V101 & also 103.5.  There’s nothing like hearing yourself on the radio!  Radio has lost its luster since the video and viral age began.  But you got to turn the TV off and just listen to your favorite DJ playin your favorite songs and doin his or her rap on music.  Go ahead and call your station, talk to the DJ and request your song.  Try that on TV.

Allright, its finally here.  My showcase at Marilyn’s this Friday at 9:30 P.M.  It will be a blast as I will be supported by Vernon Black (Mariah Carey et.al.) and his band.  We’ll be doin some covers and many of my originals including of course “Lips” (which is tearin it up on V101).  A full night of AY live!  Also in the house will be DJ Tosh (103.5 the Bomb)who will be spinnin his thing and Lee Perkins( V101) will be the MC.  We are expecting a great turnout; sales have been terrific.  We have a first class event on hand for you.  Notables from the Sac entertainment community, sports celebs, a wonderful venue, a serious A-list Band and a chance to see R & B’s most exciting new singer/songwriter, Aaron Young!

Sorry for the lack of info. but we were locked out of the website for about a week. Some kinda ghost playin with the system. Wanted to give those who did not know that I have a showcase at Marilyn’s in Sac on Friday Aug 7. Vernon Black and his crew will be keepin it down and funky for me. DJ Tosh from 103.5 will be the DJ. I can’t forget V101.1 for helping sponsor what will surely be an event that you won’t want to miss. I’ll be adding a flyer soon, but in the meantime V101 is blasting the event on their station. And don’t you forget; a full night of AY with a great band, DJ, and all the trimmings! So put it on your calender, get a ticket and come and see me and possibly other notable Sac celebs.
